I'm super sad, as my title indicates. I'm super sad because we supposedly live in a halfway intelligent society in a place that is usually pretty sweet.

I recently got back from a five week voyage to Europe. It. Was. Incredible. It was pretty much separated into three different, uh, vacations if you will.

So, I've decided that write out some quotes (well... let's say paraphrase some ideas that I got from quotes that may or may not reflect the meaning behind the original statement phrase) that make me smile.

I was reading the paper earlier this week and I stumbled across an article about Avatar (shocking, I know) and how director James Cameron was the only director who could pull something like Avatar off.

So, it's been roughly one year since my roommate became obsessed with the ominously named THE PAPER CUP ARMY. I can't really explain what happened there, it wasn't my obsession. All I know is one day I came home and my roommate had started a collection of used paper cups and was storing them in our small two bedroom basement apartment. She's an artist, so I look online and find pictures on her facebook of little cups with word bubbles.

Perhaps society will continuously move from offering Twiggy-inspired physiques as the "ideal female body" to, you know, an actual female body.

For the first time in years I am positively excited about this ridiculous holiday known as "christmas". Seriously, I am as giddy as a three year old, and I think this is absolutely fantastic. Let me explain:

"Cosmetic knee surgery so your knees, too, can avoid criticism for being "ugly" and instead be made beautiful and functional."
