The 2015 Blogging Carnival is fast approaching! This year, the www.kickaction.ca Blogging Carnival runs for three weeks, with a new blogging theme introduced every Saturday, starting February 14th. It’s never too late to register; we are always looking for guest bloggers! Here are 5 reasons why you should become a Kickaction Carnival Blogger!
1. Two Words. “Blogging. Carnival.”
What IS a blogging carnival? A blogging carnival is when a bunch of bloggers converge on one site to write about a given topic, allowing readers to read a variety of perspectives on different issues Just imagine how awesome (or fetch) it will it be to tell family, friends and colleagues that you participated in a blogging carnival!
2. Share YOUR story!
You are sure to feel pride, accomplishment and a sense of community in becoming a Kickaction Carnival guest blogger. The 2015 Blogging Carnival, just like www.kickaction.ca, creates a space for young women to address the issues they face and to exchange comments and thoughts on a variety of issues. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to critique, self-express, debate, rant or explain YOUR opinion and stories on topics that are relevant to you and other young women!
3. No Blogging Experience Necessary!
To be a guest blogger for the Carnival, you don’t need to be an experienced blogger or to have ever written a blog post before. For the Carnival, you can write one blog or you can even write more than one! Once you sign up, we’ll provide you with all the info and help you through the process, so that your blog post is the best that it can be!
4. #TheThemesAreAwesome
We have 3 awesome themes for the 2015 Blogging Carnival: #CyberFeminism (February 14-20), Kicking Butt (February 21-27) and Role Models and Leadership (February 28-March 7). We’ve provided questions for some inspiration (visit here for more info regarding the 2015 themes), but the focus of your blog post is completely up to you!
5. Instant plans for Valentine’s Day, Reading Week and International Women’s Day!
Take a break from catching up on the latest season of your favourite show by writing a blog post! Bonus: you can do it while wearing sweatpants and you never have to leave your bed! The Blogging Carnival is part of the Girls Action Foundation’s National Day of Action, an annual event that kicks off on February 14th to raise awareness about the challenges faced by girls and young women. The carnival runs until International Women’s Day on March 8th. What’s a better way to challenge Valentine’s Day traditions, relax during Reading Week or celebrate International Women’s Day than by becoming a guest blogger?
So what are you waiting for!?
